Today, Sentrinsic announced its graduation from Georgia Tech's VentureLab incubation program The company looks forward to building on the momentum gained while working with VentureLab to drive the business to new heights.
While a company-in-residence at VentureLab, Sentrinsic secured paying customers — including one Fortune 500 company, and two rounds of Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) funding.
“We are proud to mark this milestone in our company’s growth,†said David Beck, COO of Sentrinsic. "We've enjoyed being a part of VentureLab, and we will continue to draw on the resources and the friendships we developed there."
As a one-stop center for technology commercialization, VentureLab provides a clear pathway from laboratory innovation to the commercial market. VentureLab specialists help transform innovations into early-stage companies by assisting in business plan development, connecting the innovators with experienced entrepreneurs, locating sources of early-stage financing, and preparing the new companies for the business world. This was definitely the case with Sentrinsic.
Stephen Fleming, Chief Commercialization Officer at Georgia Tech and the Director of VentureLab commented, “We've really been pleased with the progress Sentrinsic has made over the last two years. From what began as a PhD side project and an MBA business plan project, they've raised financing, developed products, and won their first orders. This is the sort of trajectory we like to see in VentureLab, and we're proud to count them as our first graduate of 2007. â€
